Yoga has always been stressing on the importance of the inverted asana as it improves the circulation to the upper body. Due to gravitation and ageing, there is lesser circulation to the lower body.The elasticity improving drugs in ayurveda and specific drug action on improving tone of muscle fiber is of importance. In the same way, blood reaching down to the lower extremities does not return back to the heart properly. Blood has got to get back again,lying down.While preforming an inverted pose, like resting with the feet up against wall, gravity plays an important role in returning blood and removing the blocks in the veins.The variations of inverted and other regular asanas which stimulate the muscular movements like squeezing the calf muscles, a great sequence for yoga therapy for varicose veins. People with blood pressure should practise with the help of a proper yoga teacher and advice of physician while performing inverted asanas.Regular practice of asanas will improve the circulation and muscle tone, which can reduce the risk of developing varicose veins or making the existing condition more chronic. Avoidance of sitting long in one position at work or while travelling, elevation of the legs while sitting or practise inverted asanas for stabilising the circulation, changing the posture regularly to avoid stagnation of the blood in the veins is important. Proper diet with high fibre and low salt and keep the body weight in control, Vitamin C supplements is known for preventing cell damage and its antioxidant properties. These properties promote collagen production as well as strengthen blood vessels. Both of these things help prevent varicose veins from worsening. Obesity or frequent hormonal fluctuations can do the varicosity of veins.Balancing harmonal level and dieting, exercises do good support.
The varicose veins are quite common in women than men. In addition, pregnancy weight makes a woman more prone to varicose veins.
Due to irregular blood supply to the heart, a varicose vein can cause long-term health complications. Precarious, Ayurveda and Yoga proves to be very effective in bringing fast relief to the symptoms of varicose veins.Tadasana, Uttanasana, Navasana, Matsyasana, Viparita Karini, Pawanmukstasana, Sarvangasana etc are helpful.
There should be gap of at least three and half hours to the intake of any food to stomach before doing any asana. . Tadasana asana helps proper body posture, muscles work rigorously to maintain tadasana, it releases the stress from your limbs. knees, thighs, and ankles become stronger when we regularly practice tadasana.
It alleviates the heaviness in the legs due to varicose veins. Tadasana improves circulation to the veins in the legs and improves balance as well. This asana also regulates the digestive, nervous and respiratory system of the body. Hence, These benefits make tadasana wonderful for overall health.All asanas shuld be done properly with proper breathing technic. The predominance of usual vata and kapha dosha of disease and inheritance of doshas is to to be corrected. Diet for proper absorption of food values and best suitable drugs surely controls varicosity of veins.
