Concept of Beauty in Āyurveda.
प्रसन्नात्मेन्द्रियमनाः स्वस्थ इत्यभिधीयते” — Caraka Saṃhitā, Sūtrasthāna 1/4 Meaning: A person with balanced soul, senses and mind is called healthy—and this itself manifests as beauty. Thus health = beauty in Āyurveda.... In Āyurveda, beautification is not merely external decoration; it is “Saundarya” arising from inner balance of Doṣa, Dhātu, Agni and Manas. Classical texts describe Kānti (lustre), Prasāda (clarity), Varṇa (complexion), and Bala (vitality) as signs of true beauty.
